How much money do you need to make in your own home business compared to your current office job?

Alot less than you think. You must read this!

Many people who are considering starting up their own home business are concerned that their home business may not be able to produce the amount of money they're used to making on their outside job. Or, they're concerned that the home business may not produce enough income fast enough.  Everyone knows that starting a business, whether it's a home business or not, takes time.

But you might be shocked to find out that your home business may only need to produce a small percentage of the income of your office job in order for you to get by!  Plus, you get to work at home.

You may find that you will actually have more cash in your pocket by working in your own home business that pays less than you had when you had the high-paying office job.

The reason for this is because having your home business may save you many work-related expenses that you can immedately stop paying for when you quit your office job. For example, many families who work at home in a home business or start a home based business career find that they immediately begin saving hundreds of dollars every month on day care costs. Let's say you currently spend $450 a month on day care costs. And let's say you take a $400 a month pay cut when you start your own home business. In this one example, yur family would have an extra $50.00 at the end of the month because of the extra $50.00 you saved on day care.

Plus, there are many tax considerations and potential advantages when you have your own home business. For example, you may be able to deduct mortage interest or other business-related expenses. If your home business isn't yet the cash cow you hope it will be some day, you could slip into a lower tax bracket and get to keep more of your business income.

There's a work at home opportunity website, jobsformoms.com, that has a free tool at their website you can use to decide how much profit your family is actually making from your outside job. You can plug in your salary, plus how you pay in taxes, day care, commuting, etc.. The tool will tell you how much you're actually earning per hour by keeping that job. Once you know that information you can decide how much your home business needs to produce in net income to break even. You may be surprised!

So when you're considering starting a home business consider ALL the facts and options. You may be surprised to find out that, for once, less is more!
